Daniel Smith Watercolor Ground
Daniel Smith, my favorite watercolor paint, now has a new product called "Watercolor Ground" which you can paint on any surface and make it workable for watercolor painting. I tried it on my painting on paper to bring back the white on an area I had messed up and it worked quite well. The brushstrokes from applying the ground show through, so I think it needs to sanded a little. The paint went on nicely, flowed and blended very well. This could be an answer for watercolor mistakes! Will try it on other surfaces and see how it works.
